Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 16, 2026
Your Second Life (yoursecondlife.net) collects as little about you as we can get away with. This page explains what is collected, why, and what your choices are.
What we collect
- Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps). We use them only for security and to keep the site running; they rotate out automatically.
- Email you send us. If you email contact@yoursecondlife.net, we receive your address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply, and we don’t add you to any list.
There are no user accounts, comments are closed, and we run no newsletter. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with anyone.
Cookies and advertising
The site itself sets only the technical cookies WordPress needs to function. We plan to display advertising served by Google AdSense. When ads are running, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Analytics
We currently run no analytics service. If that changes, this policy will be updated before it takes effect.
Embedded content
Articles may embed content from other sites (for example, videos). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the originating site directly, which may collect data about you under that site’s own policy.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you (usually: nothing beyond any email you sent us) or ask us to delete it, by writing to contact@yoursecondlife.net. Depending on where you live, local law (such as the GDPR or CCPA) may give you additional rights.
Children
This site is written for adults and not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
